Updating The Three-In-One God

“Where wast thou when I (God) laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.” (Job 38:4; KJV)

My brothers and sisters, we’ve finally figured out how to explain the Trinity in more inclusive terms (versus exclusive). And it’s taken us all the way up until the 21st century to do it! After all, we’re so enlightened. Right? It’s the Presbyterian Church that’s brought us this wisdom (with the help of feminists) that the Lord lacks to communicate Himself, by the way. The denomination is introducing “fresh ways to speak of the mystery of the triune God” to “expand the church’s vocabulary of praise and wonder” is how the Associated Press puts it. So what is it they’re trying to introduce? Well, the traditional Father, Son and Holy Spirit reference is being tossed out (or suggested that we do so) for phrases like: “Mother, Child and Womb,” “Lover, Beloved, Love,” “Creator, Savior, Sanctifier,” “Rock, Redeemer, Friend,” “King of Glory, Prince of Peace, Spirit of Love.” And, of course, the Lord just didn’t have enough smarts to say it right the first time or have the Bible writers jot it down correctly in what they should have known were politically correct terms! Because, my friends, you see, it’s more important that you bend the truth so as not to offend rather than speak about things as they really are and run the risk of somebody taking it wrong. It seems that Father, Son and Holy Spirit is offensive to some who say it’s “been used to support the idea that God is male and that men are superior to women.” Whether or not that’s true, do we change the Word of God over it? And even if we did, would it make a difference to stop those who mistreat females? I don’t think so. If the Lord wanted to say He was “Mother, Child and Womb,” He would have done it. But He isn’t that so He didn’t say it. Let’s stop trying to put words in God’s mouth and start taking His words to heart like we should.
