Journey to the Celestial City #27. In our continuing look at John Bunyan’s “Pilgrim’s Progress,” today we find the man, Christian, having passed Discretion’s test, he is invited into her house to enjoy conversation with her sisters. No better women was a man of God introduced to than Prudence, Piety and Charity. They ask the good Christian to tell of his wanderings of which he is happy to share with them. His entire adventure is brought to bear to the encouragement and edification of all. And it’s our testimony that is most powerful in the blessing of others. What God has done in our lives, what trials and tribulations He has seen us through and the care of Christ in the midst, who can not be but lifted up to hear such things? We all have a story who have received Jesus. So what’s yours? “And my tongue shall declare Thy righteousness And Thy praise all day long.” (Psalm 35:8) More to come in the next blog post.
