They Didn’t Care

Manger SceneThey didn’t care.

They really didn’t.

The two of them.

They didn’t care where they were.

They didn’t care if it was cold or warm.

They didn’t care if it was night or day.

They didn’t care if they were dressed poorly or richly.

They didn’t care if they had little or much.

They didn’t care if they were alone or in a crowd.

They simply didn’t care.

You see, it was because they had each other (Joseph and Mary).

And they had God in that manger.

(And forgiveness of sins through this Christ who was to be crucified and rise from the dead in three days.)
