He came to power. He had offered the crowds good things. He was self-consumed. He smiled. He laughed. He was a nice guy. He was lawless. He said things were getting better. (They were getting worse.) He said things were looking up. (They were going down.) He wasn’t telling the truth. He cared for the poor. He was concerned for the disenfranchised. He would right the wrongs. But not for the unborn. He wouldn’t submit to God. It was all about him.
