“For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery — so that you will not be wise in your own estimation — that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in; and so all Israel will be saved.” (Romans 11:25-26a)
I’m concluding a 3-part blog post series on God’s plan for Israel in the end times. And especially using Hosea chapter 2. (For Part 1, click here. For Part 2, click here.)
The Lord is doing these things in Israel. I’m convinced of it! (You need to look at the Middle East and think like this.)
God is removing – notice Hosea 2:17 goes on now…
“[T]he names of the Baals (false gods, idols) from [Israel’s] mouth, So that they will be mentioned by their names no more.”
And God is betrothing the Jewish people to Himself. A person who is betrothed is “engaged to be married.” Notice Hosea 2:19 continues…
“And I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness and in justice, In lovingkindness and in compassion. And I will betroth you to Me (Hosea 2:20 goes on) in faithfulness. Then you will know the Lord.”
And now one last thing I want you to see in the middle of Hosea 2:23. Israel will finally call upon the Lord when His plan is completed in her. Israel will finally call upon the Lord! The middle of v. 23 says – notice…
“And I will say to those who were not My people, ‘You are My people!’ And they will say, ‘Thou art my God! – And they will say, ‘Thou art my God!'”
It’s the plan of the Lord for Israel in the last days I’m talking about. God is working in her midst as has been spoken about in many Bible passages He would. God is working today to bring back Israel to Himself.
And it is those Jews who express faith in Jesus Christ that’ll be brought back and those who of their own choice do it. The way to get saved is the same – how many of you know? – whether you’re a Jew of Gentile. The way to get saved is the same. You must “confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead” and then you’ll be saved. (Romans 10:9) The way to get saved is the same whether you’re a Jew or Gentile.
And so Israel, in being restored to the Lord in these last days, she will embrace God’s Messiah, Jesus Christ. It’s part of God’s plan for her.
And so we need to be praying for the peace of Jerusalem as Psalm 122:6 states. And that the Prince of Peace would take up residence among the Jews. (Isaiah 9:6) That’s the only way true peace will come.
And there’s certainly a whole lot more that’s ahead and that must take place before Israel turns back to the Lord and as the book of Revelation reveals. (For “Revelation” ~ 22 chapters in 22 minutes, click “Like” here.) But it’s gonna happen. The Jews will eventually come back as it’s God’s plan that they do.
And it just seems so exciting to me to see the initial soundings of it even in the turmoil in the Middle East today.
God is working. And Christ is very near.
Do you believe it yourself? Are you living your life like you do?

I noticed in your blog that you left out repentance, obedience, a life time commitment, on how to accept Jesus Christ as our savior. It may have been an over sight, but leaving out those areas is really preaching a different gospel. I see the preaching of a different gospel so often, that the true gospel is the minority. Those who follow a different gospel will not be truly saved. When Jesus comes for us in the clouds, they will not be taken.
