It is disarming to reflect upon what Jesus did to save us from our sins. It ought to be. (It was meant to be.) It was awful, despicable what the Savior had to endure in our place. He didn’t deserve to be treated like that. We did. We are the sinners. We are the ones who’ve turned our backs on God and shaken our fists at Him (in our sin).
