1. They don’t research who they’re following (Google their Twitter name)
2. They become too intimate (share details about themselves) with the wrong people
3. They judge a follower on 140 characters or less (not enough information to go on)
4. They burn bridges (withdraw loyalty to / support of others) too quickly
5. They think the rules for online relationships are different than offline (simply impossible to be close to hundreds or thousands of followers)
6. They focus a lot on themselves (all the while preaching to others it’s the wrong thing to do)
7. They become overly enamored with (fantasize over?) a certain follower (or two)
