About Living with My Wife Before We Got Married and Jumping to Conclusions

So what do you think about that title statement? Hm? Let me state it again with some added context: “I lived with my wife before we got married…and it was in the same house at the same street address.” And let me just add even more context: The “I” in the statement is me. And so what we have now is: “I (Pastor Mike) lived with my wife before we got married and it was in the same house at the same street address. You’re jumping to conclusions? Yes, you are. You’re jumping to conclusions! You’re making judgments based on what you’ve read. Right? I don’t blame you for that. If I was reading the same statement with the added contexts and it was about you, I’d jump to conclusions, too. And let me just say before giving you even more context about this statement about me: Satan is well schooled in taking out ministers and ministries by creating a wrong perception from afar. (He is!) And all too often we make judgments about others when we don’t have enough information (or are lacking crucial information). Who is it that you need to go to and say, “You know, I thought this about you and I was wrong. Can you forgive me?”
