Some have the Trumpet Judgments of the last book of the Bible occurring after the rapture of the Church. (Revelation 8:1-13; 9:1-21)
These have concluded that the book of Revelation is written in chronological order.
But what if it’s out of sequence like the Old Testament book of Daniel is?
And what if the Trumpet Judgments (along with the first 5 of 6 Seals in Revelation 6:1-16) have expression across the entirety of the age (since Jesus ascended to heaven)?
And what if it’s just that the greatest intensity and climax of the Trumpet Judgments happens during the very last days of the age and directly prior to Christ’s return?
The Trumpet Judgments are a release of the full force of Satanic and demonic influence upon planet earth. The Lord removes His hand of protection and gives humankind what they ultimately want ~ a world where the Devil is king ~ a world without God.
Each of the Trumpet Judgments is an allowing of something awful from the spiritual realm to enter the physical realm ~ with devastating effects.
FIRST 4 TRUMPETS
The first four Trumpets are environmental catastrophes:
(Do the references to “a third” have to do with a third of the angels who fell with Lucifer and their breadth of evil?)
The 1st Trumpet: A third of the earth, trees and green grass is burned up. (Revelation 8:7)
The 2nd Trumpet: A third of the sea and a third of the creatures in the sea dies and a third of the
ships are destroyed. (Revelation 8:8-9)
The 3rd Trumpet: A third of the rivers and waters is polluted and many men lose their lives.
(Revelation 8:10-11)
The 4th Trumpet: A third of the sun, moon and star light is dimmed. (Revelation 8:12)
TRUMPET 5 AND TRUMPET 6
The next two Trumpets embolden human misery:
The 5th Trumpet: Demon locusts torment mankind. (Revelation 8:1-12)
The 6th Trumpet: Demon horses kill mankind. (Revelation 8:13-19)
UNCHANGED HEARTS
And what could be more hideous that this (the demon locusts and demon horses)?
Well … more hideous than these hateful and blood thirsty Satanic entities is the response of humanity after the 6th Trumpet. They refuse to repent. Their hearts remain unchanged. They will not surrender to the only One who can rescue them. (Revelation 9:20-21)
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden (by sin), and I (Jesus) will give you rest (forgiveness).” (Matthew 11:28)
