10 Mistakes People Make with the Return of Jesus Christ (plus 1 bonus):

1. Mock its potential. (2 Peter 3:3-7)
2. Overlook that His first coming is the guarantee of the second. (Zechariah 9:9-10)
3. Miss that for every mention in Scripture of His first coming (Luke 2:7) there are 8 of the second.
4. Don’t think it will be literal. (Zechariah 14:4)
5. Don’t think it will be physical. (“His feet will stand”; Zechariah 14:4)

7. Don’t realize it will take place at the exact place from where He left. (Acts 1:9-12a; Zechariah 14:4)
8. Are so consumed with their daily lives that they are oblivious to what’s about to happen. (Luke 17:26-30)
9. Misunderstand its main purpose is to be reunited with God’s people. (Hebrews 9:28; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)
10. Overlook that Jesus Himself predicted it (God is not a man that He should lie). (John 14:1-3)
