10 Mistakes People Make with Heaven (plus 1 bonus):

1. Think there is no such thing. (2 Corinthians 12:2-4)
2. Believe there could be peace on earth without it (e.g. lyrics in John Lennon’s song: Imagine).
3. Think everybody automatically goes there (how could a God of love send anyone to hell?). (Matthew 25:41)
4. Accept that there is more than one “religion” or religious leader through which to get to Heaven. (John 3:16; 14:6)
5. Believe it can be gained by being good (no one can “be good”; it is impossible). (Romans 3:10; Matthew 19:17)
6. Have fallen for the saying, “Too heavenly minded, no earthly good” (no, the one whose got heaven on his/her mind is the one who ends up doing the most earthly good). (Matthew 5:16)
7. Overlook that only those who are redeemed by Jesus Christ will be welcomed there. (Matthew 5:20; Romans 10:9-10; Revelation 21:27)
8. Miss that despite “visits” to Heaven by some as recorded in contemporary books, no one can really know what Heaven is like. (1 Corinthians 2:9)
9. Don’t realize there are three (Heaven #1: where birds fly; Heaven #2: where planets and stars are; Heaven #3: where God dwells). (Acts 7:49)
10. Have never heard that Lucifer led a rebellion there and was cast out to earth with a third of the angels (demons). (Revelation 12:4, 7-8, 12; Luke 10:18)
