10 Mistakes People Make with Salvation (plus 1 bonus)

Crucifixion of Jesus of NazarethLightning fast read meant to make you think…

10 Mistakes People Make with Salvation (plus 1 bonus):

1. Think they can earn it by being good, doing good things or outweighing the bad things they do with the good things they do. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
2. Think there is more than one religion through which to attain it. (Acts 4:12; John 14:6)
3. Don’t realize the import (depth of significance) of its purchase via the crucifixion. (Mark 10:45; Isaiah 53:5)
4. Overlook how it’s been secured completely (“Jesus paid it all, All to Him I owe, Sin had left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow”). (John 19:30; Isaiah 1:18)
5. Think that it’s available for only a select few. (Romans 1:16; Titus 2:11)
6. Don’t keep in view that the people of God will praise Him for it one day in heaven. (Revelation 19:1)
7. Forget that great prophets of old foretold its message for the benefit of us today (we owe it to them to heed their instruction). (1 Peter 1:10-12; 2 Timothy 3:15)
8. Are blind to the fact that they need to be saved. (Romans 3:10; 23; 6:23; 10:9-10)
9. Hide from others the good news. (Mark 16:15)
10. Persecute and revile people who have a relationship with Jesus Christ (those who are saved). (Luke 21:16-17; Matthew 5:10-12)

BONUS Are unclear about the three levels of salvation: 1. Justification (we have been saved from the penalty of sin ~ instantaneously when we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior); 2. Sanctification (we are being saved from the power of sin ~ progressively throughout the rest of our life); 3. Glorification (we will be saved from the presence of sin ~ ultimately at the return of Jesus Christ to the earth).
