10 Mistakes People Make with Sex (plus 1 bonus):

1. Build a relationship on sex.
2. Think sex is okay outside of marriage. (Exodus 20:14; Acts 15:29; 1 Thessalonians 4:3)
3. Become addicted to sex (pornography).
4. Confuse sex with love (love helps; sex apart from marriage hurts).
5. Promote/stand for/are okay with man with man or woman with woman sex. (Romans 1:26-27)
6. Miss how, outside of marriage, sex leads to more evil sins (King David committed adultery, then had Bathsheba’s husband murdered). (2 Samuel 11:15; Matthew 1:6)
7. Overlook that sexual temptation only increases if you’re a Christian and even more if you’re a Christian minister (the devil is trying to take you out). (Genesis 39:7-10)
8. Keep themselves in a place where they will never be able to resist sex. (2 Samuel 11:2-3; Genesis 39:11-18)
9. Are themselves practicing the sexual defrauding of others (even if it’s only happening in the mind via lustful thoughts it devalues, dehumanizes, degrades). (Mark 7:21)
10. Withhold coming together with their spouse (for whatever reason). (1 Corinthians 7:5)

BONUS Overlook that sex is a gift from God to a husband and wife alone. (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5; Mark 10:7)
