(Don’t miss the Noah official movie trailer below.)
Have you ever thought about that last day?
The last day I’m talking about is the day the rain started falling and a great Flood overtook the earth during Noah’s time.
It’s recorded in the first book of the Bible. (Genesis 7:11)
And what of all the people left outside the Ark? Have you ever thought about them?
I mean, the doors of Noah’s big boat are closed and there they stand.
Were they calling out and shouting for rescue? (Romans 10:13)
Or were they cursing and shaking their fists at God? (Genesis 6:5)
And God would have had it that ever last one of them would have filled that Ark and not the animals.
Are you hearing me?
God would have had it that ever last person in Noah’s day would have been on that Ark with Noah and his family. But not a one of them would have it.
It wasn’t that God didn’t want them. It was that they didn’t want God.
Another Flood is coming. Another “end of the world” is near. God would not lose you either.
Get on the Ark. The “Ark” I’m talking about is His Son. (John 3:16)
He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
That said, here are…
7 Things the Story of Noah’s Ark and a Great Flood Tells Us About the End of the World:
1. The end of the world comes suddenly. (1 Thessalonians 5:3)
2. The end of the world doesn’t come without warning. (Genesis 6:13; 1 Thessalonians 5:4)
3. God is patient with humankind because He doesn’t want to lose any of us (whether or not you believe it took 120 years for Noah to build the Ark or a little less than that, the length of time speaks of God’s enduring patience – but eventually God’s patience runs out). (Genesis 6:5, 13; 2 Peter 3:9)
4. God sends preachers to warn people about what’s coming. (Hebrews 11:7; 2 Peter 2:5)
5. The majority of people will not end up in Heaven after the end of the world. (Genesis 6:11-12, 7:23; Matthew 7:13-14)
6. A person (and his family) is able to survive the end of the world. (Genesis 6:8, 7:7, 17-18, 23; Acts 16:31)
7. The only way to survive the end of the world is to obey God / follow His instructions to be saved. (Genesis 6:13-14, 22; Romans 3:10, 23, 6:23; 10:9)
