Pastor Mike here.
The elephant in the room is that we’re all dying from the very second we’re born to the exact moment we take our last breath.
And we don’t want to face it.
I think many of us try not to.
I mean, we’ll talk about the weather, sports, politics, the President, you name it.
But the single, most important and pressing issue confronting you and I, we’ll do just about anything to avoid even its mention.
“Did you hear so and so passed away?”
We even euphemize rather than say, “He or she died.”
Which is the very reason for this video blog post.
It’s to give you an opportunity to consider the subject of dying.
Until you understand and embrace the Biblical perspective on it, you aren’t really ready to live.
And so here’s “Straight Talk About Death (in 30 seconds).”
Start your watches NOW.
1. Death is different for the Christian. (John 11:25)
2. It’s not the end of existence. (John 3:16)
3. Christ decides when you die. (Revelation 1:18)
4. It’s the end of all suffering for those who believe. (Revelation 21:4)
5. One day Jesus will raise up His own. (John 6:44)
6. Born once, die twice; born twice, die once. (John 3:3, 5)
Stop your watches.
“‘Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, and which have not entered the heart of man, all that God has prepared for those who love Him.'” (1 Corinthians 2:9)
