I am not ashamed of the gospel for it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes. (Romans 1:16a)
And the real gift of Christmas is Christ crucified for our sins and raised from the dead on the third day.
And so to be forgiven of our sins we need to “repent and believe in the gospel” (Mark 1:15b) and bear fruit in keeping with repentance.
If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. (Romans 10:9-10)
…which is by grace through faith apart from works.
Salvation is by grace through faith apart from works.
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Shall we pray?
God, how can we ever thank You enough for sending Jesus to die on the cross for our sins.
We repent and believe in the gospel.
We repent and believe in the gospel!
