Are Whitney Houston, Davy Jones, Andrew Breitbart in Heaven (or not)?

Whitney Houston. Davy Jones (The Monkees). Andrew Breitbart. Each of these were icons in their own right / sphere of influence. Each of these just recently died.

And the question inevitably arises (whether spoken or unspoken): Are they in heaven (or not)?

And we would like to think that they are (always). I mean, it’s horrid to think otherwise, isn’t it? Like if somebody died and they didn’t go to heaven. That’s unthinkable. That’s outrageous. And you would be slapped down (figuratively speaking) to even suggest it. For sure, you’d be ostracized / alienated (probably).

Jesus didn’t mince words. For starters, He didn’t care what others thought since He was committed to one thing and one thing only: the truth.

And He answered the question: Are Whitney Houston, Davy Jones, Andrew Breitbart in heaven (or not)?

And what He said was: Most people do not go to heaven…

“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14)

In another place He added…

“For many are called, but few are chosen.” (Matthew 22:14)

It is not God’s fault so few are saved. (2 Peter 3:9) He leaves it up to us to choose.

Whitney Houston, Davy Jones and Andrew Breitbart made a choice. The fact is we can not really know what their choice was.

But we can know about our choice.

For “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13)

  1. Thanks for sharing. Life is short. Our choice must be sure. Blessings and keep it going!

  2. Thxs for being honest, as it gives ppl d opportunity to make d choice of giving their lives to Christ or not. Their is only one way which is via Jesus Christ

  3. Great job on a very difficult topic.

  4. Good topic but it brings on another. Whitney claimed to be saved. Does she loss her salvation because she died sinning?

Actually, I think Davey Jones might have trusted in Jesus. I remember seeing a video years ago with him arguing for the historicity of the Bible.
